Job Description:
Most of the work requires fairly high level English writing skills but the applicant must be able to work with our Lawyers as well as our client inventors to gain enough understanding of the new invention to be able to transcribe the discussion into the heart of the patent application. We do not require the applicant to have a technical background but they should have a strong enthusiasm towards learning about new inventions as each Patent application will be unique and can vary from electric fan motors to new LCD display technologies. The level of writing and depth of understanding for each application is akin to someone creating a magazine article for Popular Science Magazine. You do not need to become an expert on the technology; you just need to be able to talk to the inventory and our lawyers to understand enough so that you can describe the invention in plain, straightforward English.
